About Grace Mugabe
Grace Mugabe is a qualified CPA and Financial Literacy expert. A graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) she has extensive financial, analytical and accounting experience ranging from small business to industry leading multinational mining and resources corporations. Hailing from a corporate background including a senior Accounting role with Rio Tinto, Grace has always had a passion for financial literacy. Her business, Financially Empowered, assists women in business to become familiar and overcome any fears associated with handling their own finances. Grace is a fellow of the Leadership WA Rising Leaders Program as well as the Hive Global Leaders Program held at Harvard (June 2017). In 2017, Grace was named one of three finalists in the United Nations Association of Australia (WA) Excellence in Gender Equity Promotion Award. She is a 2018 recipient of the Layne Beachely Foundation ‘Aim for the Stars’ scholarship. A committed advocate for community involvement, Grace has served on numerous Non Profit Boards including 100 Women, Ishar Multicultural Women's Health Centre and Business Station. She is known for her ability to connect, engage and contribute to her clients.

Catherine Pazvakavambwa (Cat) is CEO of Kalahari Business Advisors as a small business consultant with a background in accounting, which she started in 2011. Cat started her career in 2006 following her completion of Masters of Accounting degree at Curtin University. She completed her bachelor degree in Commerce at the University of Western Australia in 2005 majoring in Investment Finance, Corporate Finance and Marketing. Cat is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, a Registered Tax Agent and a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Taxation Institute of Australia.
Her main focus is on business improvement by providing advice to small businesses experiencing confusion due to lack of clarity around the best business structure for them and minimise the risk of facing high tax payments, unintentionally putting personal at risk and/or going through expensive business partner breakdowns. She has also consulted with a number of not-for-profits to assist with improving the financial literacy of those organisations by introducing systems, which focus on simplicity while maintaining integrity in the reporting of the numbers.
Cat’s clients have described her as the ‘Accountanese Translator’ with the way she manages to explain the business numbers and performance in a way that makes them understand their businesses better.
